SNAP benefits have not been issued this November. While the average check may seem small to you ($187), the loss of this assistance is HUGE for the families that rely on it. For some, no check means several days with no food on the table. For others it can mean choosing between food and medicine. We need to help fill this gap for people!!!! 

I just spoke with Aaron from Healthy Food For All, and he's ready to extend the mobile pantry into these colder months. Crossroads will supply healthy staples like potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. Aaron will get them delivered directly into neighborhoods where folks need assistance. 

This is not a new partnership, rather an extension of what we already did all season. It certainly doesn't fix the problem, but every little bit each of us can do MATTERS.

If SNAP does end up getting funded, we'll make sure any funds raised through this fundraiser are used to feed people for free, either through the mobile pantry or one of our pantry partners - Badger Prairie Needs Network food pantry and/or Allied food pantry.
