Hagrid the pig is a potbellied pig who was adopted from a rescue. Before coming to B&B Sanctuary he was living in an apartment and never saw grass or the outside. He was purchased by people who thought he was a tea cup pig. Tea cup pigs are sadly not a specific breed but created by stunting the normal growth and development of a pig by starving it and keeping the pig in a small box. As Hagrid grew and grew, he become unruly and too much for them to handle in an apartment. He arrived at the rescue severely overweight, which caused him pain and difficulty with walking. He came to B&B where he lost weight and was able to finally be a pig! He didn't know what grass was at first but his instincts kicked in and now he spends his days grazing in the field or laying in his pool or multiple mud holes. He is also best friends with the feral barn kitty and they are frequently seen snuggling on cool nights.
Sponsoring Hagrid would provide him with food, shelter and vet care. Thank you for giving Hagrid some love!
