I Ran for You.

I gave you my speed, my strength, my heart.
I didn’t know the finish line would come so fast.
I tried every day.
I did what I was trained to do.
And when the racing ended,
I was still willing.
Still trusting.
Still here.

But now I’m waiting—
not for a new race,
just for safety.

Too many horses like me don’t get a second chance.
When our careers end, some of us are sent
to slaughterhouses—
not because we’re broken,
but because we’re forgotten.

Please don’t let my story end that way.

I still have years left.
I still have love to give.
I still deserve a life beyond the track.
