The Harvey Rempel Faculty Development Fund was established after Harvey’s sudden death in 2022.

This fund supports faculty development in a variety of ways, including ongoing training for faculty and staff (specifically to hire outside consultants to work with the faculty), and supporting faculty and staff retreats to ensure GTIP faculty remain current on Gestalt training modalities and application and receive the support they need to continue to implement the training program.

Harvey was grateful for the education he received from the GTIP faculty and believed a program is enriched when faculty are valued and invested in.

Harvey Rempel completed his MEd in Counseling Psychology at Temple University in1987 and completed his Gestalt training at GTIP in 1996. Harvey worked as a senior therapist at Lower Merion Counseling Services and a Program Supervisor at Children’s Outreach Services in Philadelphia.

Harvey was a warm hearted, generous man with a strong set of ethics. He loved his work, his family, the Beatles, and riding his bicycle.
