Amy Broneer is Puttin on the Glitz for the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts! Please help Amy raise $2,000 to participate in the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts first annual gala; Puttin' on the Glitz!!

By day, Amy has been a caregiver to many, including; preschool kids, animals, and her own children. By night, you can find Amy brushing off her dancing shoes and singing to prepare to support Norwalk Conservatory in raising money for scholarships and arts education.

In her own words...

My name is Amy Broneer, proud mom of three teenagers, originally from Southern California butnow happily settled in Northern California. Last summer, my family and I made the big move north, and I am loving the chance to be closer to my immediate family, including my three nephews and one niece. Though I miss the Southern California beaches and the family we have down there, the sense of community and connection here and the slower pace of life has made it feel like home.

Before starting my family, I worked as a 911 dispatcher, an experience that taught me the importance of resilience and adaptability. As my children grew, I took on roles that aligned with my passion for caregiving and community. I worked in special education as an aide for our local school district, and for three years, I homeschooled my kids. I also ran a small dog sitting/walking business, and with the help of my family, we fostered nearly 40 dogs—including two litters of puppies—for a Dachshund rescue in Los Angeles. These experiences taught us love, patience, and the joy that comes from giving back.

One of the great joys of my life has been supporting my oldest daughter, Ava, in her journey through the performing arts. Ava started playing sports at age 5 (basketball and softball), but by junior high, she decided to focus on performing. She attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where she shone in both musical theater and opera. During her senior year, she won the Jerry Herman Award for best actress and had the honor of performing at the 2023 Jimmy Awards in New York City. Now in her second year at the Norwalk Conservatory, Ava has flourished, discovering new talents like stand-up comedy and embracing all that the musical theatre program has to offer. We are thrilled to be part of the Norwalk community and incredibly proud of Ava's growth.

I've always been involved behind the scenes—whether serving on the board of Ava’s children's theater program, organizing opening night galas, or volunteering for school fundraisers. But this time is different. At Norwalk’s Puttin’ on the Glitz Gala, instead of working backstage on costumes or props and organizing tech week meals, I’ll be stepping onto the stage! It's both thrilling and terrifying, but I'm ready to support this amazing program in a whole new way. Please join me in celebrating the arts and the incredible talent here at Norwalk!
