Head Start and Early Head Start emphasizes education, health (medical, dental, nutritional, and mental health), and social services. Parent involvement is an essential part of the program. Children with special needs receive a full range of developmental services. All children receive age-appropriate screenings and exams and as needed, follow-up services and vaccinations.
