This October I’m traveling to Siem Reap, Cambodia as part of the Living Karma retreat with members of The Heart Revival community. One of our members began volunteering there in 2010 and became forever connected to ABCs and Rice. As an NGO (non-government organization/school), ABCs and Rice stands out because it not only provides free education, but also health care, meals, clean water, rice/food for children to take home and more. Learn more by watching this video (created near the time of their founding) to learn more.
While our time on the ground is limited to 10 days, we began educating ourselves about the people and history of Cambodia at our first meeting back in November. Since then, we have regularly met to develop an intentional exchange with the ABCs and Rice community. Although just twenty people will physically travel to Cambodia on this trip, we see this as an opportunity for our extended community to offer support and to partake in giving back to our greater global sangha.
Please join us in any way you can to make this a wide-open, whole-Hearted connection between Milwaukee and Siem Reap. Please consider making a donation to help us reach our fundraising goal of $10,000 for ABCs and Rice.
Funds may be donated at our page here: givebutter.com/Heart2Cambodia.
