When Hurricane Helene struck Western North Carolina, Yancey and Mitchell Counties were hit hardest—roads collapsed, homes were destroyed, and communities were left isolated. One year later, thousands of families are still in need of hope, facing daily struggles and uncertainty.

Many homes remain inaccessible, utilities are unreliable, communication is limited, and basic necessities like food, water, and shelter are scarce. With winter approaching, life is even more difficult, and families continue to carry trauma and stress.

Rice & Beans Ministries Appalachia has been working to bring hope, but much work remains. As the 1‑year anniversary approaches, we invite you to join us in reminding these families they are not forgotten.

Our goal: 100 families donating $100 each to bring encouragement and hope to those still struggling.
