Help Muffin Get the Second Chance She Deserves

Muffin is a sweet 2-year-old Shih Tzu mix who was found limping on the side of the road by a kind Good Samaritan. They thought she might have been hit by a car so she was rushed to a vet. When no one came forward to claim her, CAWS stepped in to give her the care and love she desperately needed.

What we discovered next was heartbreaking: Muffin had 2 major issues. She was suffering from a severe uterine infection and required an emergency spay to save her life. Now that she has recovered from that surgery, we’ve learned she also needs hip surgery to help her walk comfortably and pain-free.

Between her urgent medical care, emergency surgery, and the upcoming orthopedic procedure, Muffin’s expenses are nearing $2,000.

Through every step of this journey, Muffin has remained nothing but joyful, affectionate, and full of hope. She simply wants a chance at a healthy life — and a family who will love her forever.
