In 1999 my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was faced with having to take a medical leave and apply for COBRA insurance.  A friend told me about Cancer Care Services' COBRA assistance program.  CCS not only provided financial support to my family, but they also helped my mom and dad navigate doctor appointments.  They became a trusted advisor and counselor to my parents.   

My father lost his fight to cancer in 2002.  CCS was a big part of my father living with dignity.  I have been a supporter of Cancer Care Services for years.  CCS financial support allowed my family to focus on fighting this disease and spending those last few years with my father without fear of losing his insurance or dignity.
