Our Community Stepped Forward for Us. Now It's Our Turn. 🕌

On the first day of Ramadan 2025, something beautiful happened.

For the first time, the Muslim community of Oswego, Illinois, had a masjid to call its own.

Today, Alhamdulillah, Masjid Abu Bakr serves over 500 Muslim families. Children come to learn the Qur'an, worshippers gather for the five daily prayers, and our masjid fills with the community every Jumu'ah.

What began as a dream has become a place of worship, learning, and belonging for hundreds of families.

But our journey isn't finished yet.

When our growing masjid needed additional property, generous members of our community stepped forward and provided Qard-e-Hasanah to help us purchase the land next door.

They helped us when we needed them.

Now we need your help to repay them.

⏳ The Deadline: End of Ramadan 2027

We have only a few months left to complete our Qard-e-Hasanah repayment.

Alhamdulillah, through the generosity of our community, we've already made tremendous progress toward our $335,000 goal.

But there is still more to repay, and the deadline is getting closer.

The property has been secured. The responsibility remains. And time is running out.

Your donation today will go directly toward fulfilling this Qard-e-Hasanah, InshaAllah.

Help us complete what we started before the end of Ramadan 2027.

More Than Just Land. A Future for Our Community.

Every Friday, our masjid fills with worshippers coming for Jumu'ah.

Alhamdulillah, it's a beautiful blessing. But our parking lot has reached its limits.

Cars fill the available spaces. Worshippers have to double-park or park on the grass. And as our community continues to grow, so does the need for more space.

The neighboring property was purchased to help address these challenges and provide opportunities for:

Additional parking to accommodate our growing congregation.
Space for children and future community needs.
Future Expansion as our community grows.

Think of the families who will come to this masjid in the years ahead.

The children learning their first surahs. The worshippers gathering for salah. The future generations who will, InshaAllah, call Masjid Abu Bakr their masjid.

This is more than repaying a property purchase. It's about fulfilling a responsibility and preparing Oswego's first masjid for the generations to come.

They Helped Us Secure It. Together, Let's Repay It.

When the opportunity to purchase the neighboring property arose, members of our community didn't turn away.

They stepped forward with Qard-e-Hasanah (interest-free loans), allowing our masjid to secure the property without conventional interest-based financing.

Now, those community members are waiting to be repaid.

Imagine the blessing of coming together and completing this repayment before Ramadan ends.

No single person has to carry this responsibility alone.

Whether you give $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, or more, every contribution helps reduce the outstanding Qard-e-Hasanah.

You may think your donation is small. But when hundreds of people give sincerely, those small contributions can accomplish something extraordinary.

We don't need everyone to give a lot. We need everyone who is able to give what they can.

Help Us Finish Before Ramadan 2027 Ends

We have come so far, Alhamdulillah. But we cannot let the approaching deadline pass without doing our best to fulfill this responsibility.

If Masjid Abu Bakr has ever benefited you, your family, or someone you love — or if you simply want to support the future of Oswego's first masjid — please consider contributing today.

Give whatever you can. Make it a Sadaqah for the sake of Allah.

Can't give a large amount today? Consider setting up a monthly donation to help us make consistent progress toward completing our goal.

And if you're unable to donate, please share this campaign. Someone you reach may be able to help us take another step toward completing our repayment.

Our community helped make this possible. Now let's come together and finish what we started.

May Allah accept every donation, multiply its reward, place barakah in the wealth and families of those who contribute, and allow us to complete this Qard-e-Hasanah before the end of Ramadan 2027. Ameen.
