Since 2015, Launch Therapy Center has been a lifeline for children with disabilities and developmental delays, addressing the critical shortage of pediatric therapy services in Livingston Parish and beyond. What began with just three therapists has grown into a comprehensive nonprofit providing over 24,000 annual therapy visits—supporting 1,186 children each year through speech, occupational, and physical therapy.

In total, Launch has served more than 2,900 children, but the need continues to outpace our resources. Today, over 400 children remain on our waitlist. More than 72% of the children we serve rely on Medicaid, yet reimbursement falls far short of the true cost of care. In 2024 alone, Launch absorbed $578,575 in unreimbursed therapy and service costs to ensure that no child was turned away due to their family’s financial situation.

But Launch is more than therapy. We address the broader social and emotional needs of our families, offering caregiver education, transportation assistance, basic necessities, and more. Every service is designed to remove barriers and help children reach their fullest potential.
