Protecting Small Businesses from Overreach – HB8 Legal Challenge
Why We’re Raising Funds
Alabama’s ABC Board is moving aggressively to enforce HB8 — a new law restricting vape and alternative nicotine product sales — without clear guidance, due process, or transition time for businesses.
Retailers and wholesalers are being threatened with fines, seizures, and permit revocations, even though the law’s official start date is October 1, 2025. Many are being forced to stop sales immediately, without the chance to apply for the right permit or sell through legal inventory.
This overreach is putting hundreds of small vape shops, gas stations, and wholesalers at risk—destroying jobs and cutting off adults from regulated products overnight.
We’re working with legal counsel to challenge this premature and confusing enforcement in court.
⚖️ What the Vape Defense Fund Supports:
-
Filing legal action to halt early enforcement of HB8
-
Covering legal fees, court costs, and emergency filings
-
Defending the rights of business owners, employees, and adult consumers
-
Demanding fair timelines, clear rules, and lawful permitting procedures
Help us stop this unfair crackdown. Your donation directly supports legal protection for Alabama’s vape community.
