For the past 50 years, Higher Achievement has been a trusted partner for middle school students and their families, preparing scholars academically and emotionally for high school and lifelong success.

I have been a mentor at the Richmond Henderson Achievement Center since 2011. I have witnessed the extraordinary accomplishments of our scholars and graduates from the program. Scholars I have been fortunate to mentor have been accepted in some of Richmond's Specialty Schools, received presidential scholarships to college, received full-ride scholarships to college and, once graduating from college, have become entrepreneurs and started their own businesses. It is not because of me -- I only played a small part. It is because of their hard work and dedication to succeed.

Generations of scholars have benefitted from the experiences and encouragement they received at Higher Achievement. These alumni are now leaders and changemakers in their communities.
