The Hive's SOS - TGR Film Premier Event!

Join the Hive's SOS Family in pumping the stoke for this season at a Teton Gravity - Flying High Again Film Premier with a special feature showing of 'Send It Like A Local' from Visit Durango! Screening will start at 6:15 so please arrive on time if you want to see it all! And...closing the night out with local live band ORA Doors at 6:00pm Film screening 6:15 Live Band at 8:30
Story
So many Durango youth do not have the opportunity to enjoy the amazing view of the Needles from Purgatory Resort. Most locals would be surprised to hear that a lot of youth didn't even know it existed until they got invited to be a part of the Durango SOS Outreach Program. For 19 years, the Durango SOS Program has been so grateful for the opportunity to introduce the great outdoors and the adventure sport of snowboarding to an average of 80 underserved youth per year. This long term mentoring opportunity has been proven time and time again to work wonders for our youth of Durango!
A 25 year old SOS Alum came into The Hive recently to visit and share his story with our SOS Staff and say thank you. Kaleb was in the Durango SOS program for 5 years until he graduated and went to college. He shares, "I would have never finished high school or even thought of going to college if it weren't for SOS. The program encouraged me to stay in school and make a better effort so that I had the opportunity to not only go snowboarding but become a leader."
With a goal to support youth in school engagement and personal growth, The Durango SOS Program has fostered a strong relationship with the schools and the community. We are on a mission to hold youth accountable to what they are capable of and inspire them to become the best versions of themselves through the practice of our Core Values and leadership curriculum. Durango SOS has had the honor to witness 100's of youth participate in a long term mentorship through experiencing ride days at Purgatory, service learning projects and life skills workshops that instill a sense of belonging, accomplishment and social emotional wellness!
Please support the Durango SOS Outreach Program this year to help us cover scholarships for SOS youth participants and support our amazing volunteer Mentors that dedicate their time to guide these youth into adulthood!
