The Road Home
Valentine Road is a groundbreaking permanent supportive housing project developed by the Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura. Made possible through funding from the Homekey program—a statewide effort to expand housing for persons experiencing homelessness—the project will convert the former La Quinta Inn into 134 homes for individuals who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness, thereby reducing homelessness in our community and transforming the lives of local residents. Valentine Road is creating more than just apartments. Each home will create a pathway to stability and renewed purpose for formerly homeless members of our community through the provision of onsite supportive services. Your contribution to The Road Home Campaign will help turn these unfurnished spaces into homes where residents can safely and comfortably rebuild their lives.
A Warm Welcome - will ensure that a formerly homeless resident is provided with basic household essentials.
A Place to Call Home - will contribute towards the provision of basic furnishings for a resident of Valentine Road. Donors will be acknowledged on the HACSB website and social media.
Opening Doors - will help ensure that a resident received needed furnishings. Donors will be acknowledged on the HACSB website, social media, and recognized at our Grand Opening event.
The Road Home - will support the ongoing needs of formerly homeless residents of Valentine Road and other permanent supportive housing. Donors will be acknowledged on the HACSB website, social media, recognized at our Grand Opening event, and donor names will be proudly displayed in the lobby of Valentine Road.
