I'm honoring my dad, Coach Tim Georg, by fundraising to honor his career as a coach to high school and middle school student-athletes as a part of the Marathon Kids, "Honor Your Coach" campaign.

Marathon Kids provides coaches with free, first-class technology and tools that enhance kids’ experience on the track, field, and gym. Your dollars help bring the right tools and technology to make our coaches successful and to support their athletes to be active and healthy for a lifetime.

Why do Coaches Matter?

• Coaches are teachers, leaders, and motivators. They are our kids' first line of defense when it comes to believing in themselves. 
• Coaches make life fun! They know when to work hard and when to play hard and more importantly, how to do both at the same time!

The above description fits my father perfectly. He was a hard-working teacher, leader, and motivator that makes life fun. He's not a bad cook either. 

Coach Georg, as he is often referred to, impacted and influenced thousands of kids during his 42-year career as a teacher and coach in Houston and Central Texas area high schools and middle schools.

Coach Georg served in multiple positions and capacities at the following schools during his career:

1974-77 - Dayton High School - Dayton, TX

1977-86: Navarro High School - Geronimo, TX

1986-96: San Marcos High School - San Marcos, TX

1996-98: Travis High School - Austin, TX

1998-2003: LBJ High School - Austin, TX

2003-08: San Marcos Baptist Academy - San Marcos, TX

2008-2014: Marion High School - Marion, TX

2014-17: Seguin High School - Seguin, TX
