As Word Up enters its teenage years, we are thrilled to continue connecting people to resources and providing support to countless neighbors old and new, and to provide a space where anyone can find books they will love.

Like any teenager, we've had our growing pains, and for Word Up that's been in the shape of a faulty, often-jammed side gate and an A/C unit that blew out last year.

These repairs are essential in providing a comfortable place for our neighbors to gather, and we're asking for your help to support as we modernize and upgrade our facilities.

Your donation would help us:

Cover the cost of our A/C unit repair so we can serve as a cooling center for our community during the blazing New York heat
Pay for the repair of our A/C unit in the office (and keep our staff cool)
Replace our ancient side gate with an electric one!
