Journey of Hope 2024

Journey of Hope is part of The Ability Experience, which creates experiences that promote the abilities of all people and works to eliminate the labels that unfairly define us, especially for those living with disabilities.

For the past several years, Journey of Hope Cyclists made up of all Pi Kappa Phi members have come together with The Arc Community Advocates for an afternoon of creating awareness for people with disabilities. We spend the afternoon getting to know each other, playing yard games, grilling out and promoting that disability doesn’t mean “inability”.

Each year, more than 100 men embark on a cross-country trip to test their limits, spread awareness, and celebrate the abilities of all people. With three routes kicking off on the West Coast, teams spend the summer crossing the country over a combined 12,000 miles with an arrival at the Capitol Lawn in Washington DC to mark the end of a life-changing event. Along the way, the team spreads the message of disability awareness through local media and makes stops at partner organizations where we deliver joy to our friends from the disability community.
