LoCo Dance Co was founded by Louise Coleman in 2025. We are fascinated by the intersection of mundane gestures and human desires, internal improvisational research and performance, and task-driven play and character building. LoCo Dance Co has performed at Jack Crystal Theater, Green Space, The Craft, and Arts on Site as the resident choreographer with the Study Series.

GO TO SLEEP is a commentary on censorship and the ignorance held in the upper class in America. In a world encompassed in censored media, we grow comfortable in disregarding what does not directly affect us. Admittedly, I am guilty of this. I would rather go to sleep than face the horrors of the world. This piece reflects a reconciliation between myself and personal shortcomings, as well as the broader public’s captivity to carefully curated narratives. It is set to Raja Kirk’s explosive piece, “Act ii Budhal Gumuruh” which sets a landscape full of diverse beats and punctual vocals. With recognizable images such as poshly wearing a crown, strutting in high-heels, and pleading on the knees, combined with raw human emotions such as hunger, surrender, and exhaustion, GO TO SLEEP reveals a world where elegance and struggle coexist.
