Many rural Brazilians experience extreme financial hardship, especially in the remote communities we serve. This brings an increased vulnerability to grooming and the view that the sex trade is the only way to fend off starvation. One tool that JCH has used to reduce risk for these families is food baskets. Currently, we have a list of 223 families in our communities who are facing this terrible need.
