The Huron Music Association (HMA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the entire Huron Music Department through fundraising and volunteer efforts.

In June 2024, the Huron High School Music Department was affected by the Ann Arbor Public Schools budget crisis and had its staffing reduced, despite having 1/3 of Huron High School students enrolled in a music class or ensemble. In order to maintain the excellent music education at Huron High School, the HMA will pay for additional instructors to fill in where we used to have dedicated AAPS teachers. Additionally, the Choir will be traveling to Vienna, Salzburg and Prague in Summer 2025, therefore we will be providing scholarships for students in need of financial support.

All funds raised go towards the music program, including guest teachers and master classes, instrument purchases and repair, equipment, music lesson subsidies for students, scholarships for camps and trips, continuing education for faculty, event supplies and sheet music. Our goal is to support the music programs in having the most robust, enriching experience possible for all our students.

By using this platform, we ensure that 95% or more of the funds are used to the benefit of the students.
