Team Search and Res-canoe

Join us on an exhilarating journey as Team Search and Res-canoe takes to the waters in the upcoming Seventy48 race! As Pierce County Explorer Search and Rescue volunteers, Emma, Jenn, and Kat are not just racing for glory; we are racing to raise awareness and funds for our search and rescue unit.

Pierce County Explorer Search and Rescue is the main ground search and rescue unit in Pierce County. We assist local law enforcement in locating missing persons such as hikers, climbers, backpackers, children, and individuals affected by dementia, evidence related to a crime, and we respond to natural disasters and other catastrophic events. Pierce County Explorer Search and Rescue routinely responds to searches throughout Washington state.

The Seventy48 race is a unique 70-mile race where teams paddle continuously from Tacoma to Port Townsend, navigating the stunning waters of the Puget Sound. By supporting our campaign, you will not only help provide essential resources, training, and equipment that enables our SAR team to respond effectively in emergencies, but you will also be encouraging and supporting us as we take on this challenge.

Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact.  Thank you for your support!
