Story
Every 60 seconds a person dies from something most of us don't consider a threat: diarrhea. Unsafe water and lack of sanitation can quickly convert a very treatable disease to a very deadly one. Today, at least 2 billion people drink unsafe water and 2 billion don't have basic sanitation, that is about half of the population in the planet. One out of every two of us.
Global WaSH is
developing a WaSH in Schools program, because we understand that clean water
has the power to reduce human suffering more than any other endeavor. Meet Global WaSH Director and Founder, Dr. Isis Mejias by clicking on the video above.
Global WaSH in partnership with the Albert Sabin Institute is developing a WaSH in Schools Program with the first pilot project at Escola Municipal Pe. Caetano, in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Together, we can work towards universal access to clean water, a basic human right.
