Hi!  My son Sean and I are hiking the Grand Canyon rim to rim to rim this May, which happens to be Rare Disease Month. We are hiking in the hope of raising awareness for FIRST as well as reminding others that kindness matters. Our family became familiar with FIRST when Claire, our adorable redheaded daughter and granddaughter, was born with Ichthyosis. The FIRST organization has become a source of information for our family as well as a place to meet other families affected with rare skin conditions. 

We have met many strong and amazing people through FIRST. This challenge will be hard, but we realize many people do hard things every day. Hopefully this hike will raise money and awareness for FIRST. Please consider making a donation, however small, or visiting the website...even spreading kindness and positivity today!
