I am a parent of a three year old son named Logan with Lamellar Ichthyosis.

Every day I strive to be the biggest advocate for him and those affected with ichthyosis.

The Foundation for Ichthyosis and Related Skin Types (FIRST) has been a rock in support and resources for us as a family. We have met some incredible individuals through FIRST.

My wife Samantha and I attended our first FIRST conference last year in Providence, Rhode Island and ever since we have wanted to do everything in our power to show our support and appreciation to FIRST. The amount of love and community we felt from those who were previously complete strangers meant more to us than we can ever express or put into words.

I am hiking the Grand Canyon not only to raise awareness for those affected with Ichthyosis, but to show support to the family members of those affected and show them how strong we all truly are when we come together to support a special cause!
