Dear neighbor,

The 73rd annual observance of the National Day of Prayer will take place at Hazel's House of Hope, the former Ramada Inn.

This event is coordinated by a group of area ministers known collectively as the "Pastor's Prayer Fellowship", headed by Rev. Junius Lewis.

Please join us for a time of worship and inspiration as we pray for our city, state and nation.

This year’s theme is “Lift Up the Word, Light Up the World” based on 2 Samuel 22:29-31

In our troubled times, prayer is a powerful gift that can heal hearts, open eyes, and encourage the weary as we unify under the common cause of Christ.

What a privilege we have to pray for our nation, it's leaders, and citizens to enable God to move in a mighty way.

Let us pray for you, your family and staff!

A special time will be set aside to pray personally for those in public service and candidates.

If you cannot attend, please email your prayer request to web@rockfamily.org to be added to the live prayer session.

Schedule of Events:

8:00 – 8:10 - Welcome and worship by the Trinity Christian School Band
8:10 - 8:30 - Keynote speaker: Rev. David Goodin - Sermon title: “Pray! It’s God’s Word!"
8:30 - 9:00 - Prayer for our nation, government (active and candidates), families, schools
9:00 - 9:30 - Continental breakfast
12:00 – 1:00 p.m. - Prayer at the Courthouse Square on High Street.

Donations will cover the cost of the venue, sound system replacement, food, and guest speaker honorarium.

The Church at Morgantown

Keynote Speaker: David Goodin

Since 1981, David has been an ordained minister with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He has pastored four churches and has held national office with the denomination. He was senior pastor of the Morgantown Alliance Church for almost 19 years. In partial retirement, he is a workplace chaplain for two Morgantown businesses, LP Mineral LLC and Mid Atlantic Energy Services. David and Mossie have three children and five grandchildren.
