Second Quarter Adopt A Highway Cleanup

Come join us cleaning up on HWY 421! This location is on the way to the New Hanover County Landfill and is in desperate need of a cleanup. When trash is not tied down properly, this can cause debris to be strewn on the road way. This is not only bad for the environment, but can also be a hazard for motorists.

Where: Cape Fear Catamarans

(2102 US-421, Wilmington, NC 28401)

When: April 27th from 1pm to 3pm

Important:

All of the cleanup supplies (Gloves, safety vests, and bags) will be provided by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Plastic Ocean Project will provider grabbers to pick up trash.

*Volunteers are asked to wear closed toed shoes, pants, and to bring water*

Before the cleanup all participants are required to view this short safety video from the NCDOT:

If you are between the ages of 12 and 17, a parent/guardian will need to fill our the NCDOT form. This form needs to be provided the day of the cleanup!
