The Happy Pit Project Fund

We aim to change the way the term “pit bull” is used. For dogs in shelters this label leads to millions of dogs being subjected unfairly to discrimination and breed restrictions. We will work with shelters to change visual identification and educate others on the hundreds of different breed types, resulting in lives saved from euthanasia, and many more dogs finding loving homes! This fund will help us secure things like DNA tests and research and grant opportunities to support our initiatives in the shelter setting and to assist with changing policies across the US when it comes to BSL, insurance restrictions, rental property restrictions and the overall mislabeling of “pit bull” type dogs!
