This spring I plan to go Over the Edge to support the work of our ICT SOS. ICT SOS provides prevention and awareness education to thousands of middle and high school students each school year. Through this education, they help students recognize exploitative situations, evaluate their online presence and activities, know how to respond with empathy and compassion if a friend is struggling, and feel confident accessing resources in the community through our mobile app. ICT SOS also provides advocacy to adult survivors. Their advocate provides case management, therapy, advocacy, and resource coordination for survivors of trafficking and exploitation- regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or orientation. One of their most popular ways of helping is Fresh Start Bags! These duffle bags full of new clothes, hygiene, and comfort items go to partners around the community- hospitals, police stations, social workers, and advocates in several organizations. This simple resource tells a survivor in a moment of crisis, "You're not alone. You're valued." All of this work is supported by the generosity of donors like you!
