Partnership for Smarter Growth (PSG) envisions a Richmond Region that plans sustainably, grows inclusively, and connects communities, guided by the ten principles of Smart Growth. Since 2002, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we have championed these ideals through human-centered design advocacy in local rezoning, public education on smart growth issues, and collaboration with partner organizations to address regional challenges in urban development.

Hosted two walking tours highlighting local issues, including Strong Towns RVA and Mayo Bridge.

Produced two videos exploring the local impacts of Bi-Partisan Infrastructure Law funding, featuring Reconnecting Jackson Ward and Transforming Rail in Virginia.
Played a key role in the Richmond Mayorathon, engaging candidates on transportation, housing, development, environmental, and public safety issues.

Co-authored a policy paper on sustainable housing growth in the Virginia Conservation Network’s 2025 Common Agenda.
Delivered three public comments at Zoning Advisory Council and Planning Commission meetings.
Invited to speak at 4 events to discuss smart growth including the American Planning Association of Virginia and RVA Rapid Transit's Mobility University
