This group has been formed to help find desks for children of need attending Everett (MA) schools and learning remotely from home. Joe McLaughlin and I began organically, just an old desk in an attic and a question to me if I knew of a student with need. I received 6 responses! We then posted the sad fact that many in our home city lacked the necessary tools for remote learning. Joe and I have teamed up to collect and deliver over 70 desks in the past few months. Joe does the assembling and delivery while I have been finding students in need. We continue to seek donations so we can purchase children’s sized desks, room is often limited in apartments. We appreciate all interest and assistance.
