Join Kara and Stephen at their home for a whiskey-tasting session. Let's raise our glasses and raise some money for LIFE Skills Foundation! Featuring The Black Bourbon Guy (https://blackbourbonguy.com), Che Ramos. Che will guide us through a tasting session of four whiskies and a "surprise" 5th pour. We'll learn a brief history of bourbon production in the United States and he'll establish some basic tasting guidelines before sampling 1/2 oz pours of each spirit in a blind format. Each guest will be invited to participate and rate each sample. At the end of the event, we'll poll people on their favorites before revealing the full lineup. Ticket sales and proceeds from this event will benefit LIFE Skills Foundation in Durham, NC. LIFE Skills' mission is to empower transition-age youth to live stable, self-directed lives by providing them with housing and wraparound support services.
