Giving Tuesday is a global movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. Created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that inspires people to do good, encourages them to collaborate, and galvanizes everyone to give to their favorite organizations. This giving season, we ask that you consider supporting your local, hometown orchestra. Our goal is to raise $25,000, enough to cover the cost of a single concert.

Your generosity supports the mission of the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society - to maintain and strengthen cultural values; to preserve the classical music art form; to enrich musical experiences in the community; to provide fine, live musical performances; and to provide cross-generational education events in the Santa Maria and surrounding valleys.

The Santa Maria Philharmonic has had yet another extraordinary year. Our 2022-23 concert season launched in September with "Romantic Revelries", a concert featuring a beloved Mendelssohn violin concerto and made up of our largest audience since before the pandemic. It was wonderful to welcome everyone back for this glorious season! Our season concerts continue through April 2023. We have also just wrapped up a six-part "Music at the Library" series, offering free concerts to the public - many of which showcase the talented youth musicians in the area. Our Music Van visited several schools in Santa Maria in person for the first time since 2020, providing students a hands on experience with real classical musical instruments.

We simply could not have done any of this without you, our local community. Let’s continue to make music together!
