Coffee Chat - Surviving The Holidays
Sunday from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM EST
In Person
Join us Sunday, December 5th at Grace Monroe Church for a Coffee Chat and Yoga (bring your own mat) for "Surviving The Holidays" The holidays are hard for those that have lost loved ones, have lots of family conflict, or suffer with mental health problems. We want to offer support & practical ideas to help people stay ‘calm thru Christmas’..
Story
Your perspective changes when it becomes....Personal
It's not just Personal to the one that is struggling with their mental health, but everyone in their lives is touched by it. It creates a ripple effect. Their loved ones, family members, and friends now will have a Personal story dealing with mental health. Statistics indicate that 1 in 5 Americans struggle with mental health and 1 in 4 between the ages of 13 and 18.
If 20 - 25% of people are struggling with mental health, think of the ripple effect onto loved ones, family members, and friends that now have a Personal story. If that many people are touched by mental health struggles, then why is it so stigmatized and hush-hush?
Help us to address the needs for Mental Health education and resources for our schools (faculty and students), first-line responders, and the local community. We’re working towards a community where all people understand how to take care of their own mental health and look out for each other. A community without shame, where all those who need support get the help they deserve.
$12 will help educate one person. Donate so that we can help provide education and resources to community members that are in need of it. Donate so we can talk about it and not struggle in silence
Navigate Hope Inc., a 501c3 non-profit, was formed as a result of our own personal struggles to find resources, education, and support when it came to Mental Health in our community.
