In 2017, I became a "Sugar Angel" for Icing Smiles. I was able to make a birthday cake for a child recovering from cancer. What is Icing Smiles?: Icing Smiles is a nonprofit organization that provides custom celebration cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. What's a Sugar Angel?: Sugar Angels are volunteer bakers who craft beautiful treats for Icing Smiles families—completely free of charge and with no expectation of anything in return. On January 7th, I received and email asking me to serve as a Sugar Angel again. Later this month, I'll be delivering a 5th birthday cake to a very special child.
