As the world was put on hold, and live music paused, music makers everywhere struggled to keep audiences engaged, keep their dreams alive, and keep their music playing. Many didn't survive. We struggled to adapt. We learned live-streaming skills, new songs were birthed, old songs were revisited. Inspired by your enthusiasm, we pushed on, not really understanding where we were going, but trusting that all of us together, were heading in the right direction. The experience made us stronger, better, and more committed to the days ahead, and forced us to look forward with hope in soon finding whatever was to be the new normal. Those live streams, produced under the watchful eye and production genius of the "fifth gypsy," Lee Hoffman, became an obsessive focus. Music industry types far and wide complimented us on the quality of those efforts, and you all responded, lovingly. We were left with only one choice, to keep making music, never knowing when the craziness would end.

Now, as we are emerging from the pause something wonderful is happening. As dark as the last sixteen months have been, we know there was always an inextinguishable light shining bright, from our beloved Vagabundos. We need to celebrate the music we made then in the hopes of keeping that light shinning, and celebrate the ever present love we felt from you, during our darkest hours, that kept us making that music. We need to celebrate where we all have been, because it sets the stage for where we all are going. Old and Young, Left and Right, Up and Down, we have made it through the pause, just like we went into it....together!

We want to honor the effort we've all made during the pause, music makers and music fans united, fighting to keep the music playing, by releasing our very first, full length vinyl album.

We learned so much during the pandemic. We were also able to spend extra time together in the studio working on adding new twists to some of our older songs. The result is a new live LP! “Songs from The Pause “ will be released first as a limited edition vinyl record—pressed by Third Man Records.

"Songs From the Pause," will offer some of the best of our live stream efforts from these odd times we've all tried to music our way through. Expertly recorded and mixed, because at the time, it was the best we could do with the cards we were dealt, we never realized until now, that we were inadvertently making the most important record we'd ever made.
