Italian immigrants poured into America around the turn of the 19th century. My grandfather, Lorenzo Di Vita, was one of them.

Father Pietro Bandini led the poor but stalwart group which settled in Tontitown, Arkansas. Its people prospered in the face of prejudice and hostility. Chuck and I are making a documentary of their story to honor them and all immigrants. We welcome your support, regardless of the amount. Every dollar helps! This is definitely a project from our hearts. Still, shooting and editing a professional documentary is costly. Clips will be added to this site as production continues.

As some of you know, Chuck was a Hollywood director and producer for decades and I'm a historical fiction writer, following my career in professional theatre and LA radio. We've blended our areas of expertise to make this a visually rich and meaningful film.
