In Loving Memory of Marlene Zarro

This fundraising page has been created to honor and remember the life of Marlene Zarro.

In lieu of flowers, the family has chosen to honor her life by supporting Empowered Academy, an organization that provides inclusive athletic, wellness, and educational programs that help individuals of all abilities build life skills, confidence, and meaningful connections, especially through programs designed for adults.

Marlene’s legacy lives on through her family and their continued commitment to this mission. Her daughter, Michele Ruscavage, serves as the Program Director at Empowered Academy, and her son-in-law, Joe Ruscavage, Michele’s husband, serves as the Director of Operations. Their dedication reflects the values Marlene instilled—care, compassion, and a deep belief in supporting others.

Marlene’s grandson, Michael Ruscavage, also proudly participates in Empowered Academy programs. Donations made in Marlene’s memory will help provide access to sports, training, education, community, and confidence-building experiences for individuals with special needs, continuing a legacy of compassion, strength, and lasting impact.
