This fund supports real people today, from furnishing homes for people exiting homelessness to developing trauma-informed AI tools that strengthen Medicaid and housing systems. It builds the infrastructure that will serve thousands tomorrow.

• Deliver dignity-first care: Move-in kits, peer support, and stabilization services for individuals navigating housing, reentry, or recovery

• Run real-time pilots: Trauma-informed workflows and wraparound care models aligned with Medicaid reimbursement

• Build better systems: Open-source tools, AI models, and cross-sector research to strengthen equity, efficiency, and long-term impact.

How It Works:

The Innovation Lab Fund fuels both direct services and innovation pipelines.

• Home Nest Lab – When someone moves into permanent housing after surviving homelessness, foster care, or incarceration, they need more than a roof. They need a foundation: a bed, a phone, a peer who understands, and a system that sees them. 

• Open Nest Lab – Our applied research and AI ethics platform, co-designed with communities, to build better tools for housing retention, care planning, and social determinants of health. 

• Wherever Most Needed – General support across programs and infrastructure

All funds are tracked transparently, guided by community feedback, and designed to create scalable models for healing-centered housing and care.
