H2OPE Flows: 2026 Guatemala Mission Trip

As OU Wesley students, we believe following Jesus means putting our faith in motion. This spring break, up to 15 of us will travel to Guatemala to help dig a clean water well—a project that will transform daily life for an entire community by providing families with safe water, better health, and more time for education and work. Trips like this remind us that faith is not confined to campus life; it opens our eyes to the needs of the world, deepens our compassion, and shapes us into leaders who learn far more than we give.

When we serve internationally, we know it matters who we serve alongside. That’s why we’re grateful to partner with Asociación Pozos Agua Viva (ASOCAVIVA), a faith-based organization in Guatemala that brings both clean water and the hope of Christ to rural communities. Their team not only drills wells with skill and excellence but also invests in long-term transformation through a Health and Hygiene program that teaches families essential sanitation and water stewardship practices. By working with ASOCAVIVA, we’re able to step into leadership while also learning from local leaders—gaining a deeper understanding of global discipleship, cross-cultural partnership, and what it means to lead with humility and faith. Together, we are part of sustainable ministry that improves health, nurtures faith, and strengthens entire communities.

We are thankful that The Woodworth Committee—a partnership of The Oklahoma Conference of The United Methodist Church and The Oklahoma Methodist Foundation—has already provided a grant to cover a large part of this trip. Still, we need your help. Each of us has committed to raising $1,000, and the cost to dig the well is $8,000. Not all of our fundraising shows on this page, but every gift directly supports our team and this project. When you give, you’re not only helping us reach our goal—you’re helping water flow and hope flourish in Guatemala.
