During this special year, your donations will help JAE return to Haiti and the Dominican Republic to offer free dance education to youth as part of the Summer Dance Institute in July 2023. Please join us to support this important program that has served over 1,800 youth.

The Summer Dance Institute is one of JAE’s signature efforts in its mission to share the liberating power of Haitian Folkloric dance with a global community. As such, we are proud to partner with local organizations and artists in both Haiti and the Dominican Republic—including JAE’s newest lead educator, Raphaëlle François, who will lead our youth programming in Santo Domingo, DR.

This year’s theme will focus on Kiltirèl Connexiones (Cultural Connections). Through dance, we will highlight our shared connections to cultivate hope for a brighter future.
