Our Senior Horse Sanctuary provides retirement care to senior horses, many of which are of the heavy draft horse breeds, who require more care than an average sized horse. Often, they have suffered abuse, neglect or starvation in their former lives. 

When they come into our program, we are committed to caring for their every need: nutritional, emotional, physical, hoof, veterinary, and dental care for the remainder of their lives. We have rescued many neglected senior Draft horses destined for slaughter and rehabilitated them back to health and have helped several dozen senior horses of all breeds in our Senior Horse Sanctuary program over the years.

Our horses average monthly direct care costs are between $400-$800 per month! Committing to a monthly sponsorship will help us give these special souls everything that not only they need, but deserve!
