2024 JXN FILM FESTIVAL™

The 2024 edition of the JXN FILM FESTIVAL™ will feature fan favorite blasts from our 70's past as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of GOOD TIMES and reflect upon the remarkable legacy of Norman Lear. 

The weeklong festival celebrates independent filmmaking and provides educational training with industry professionals, masterclasses, film screenings, community outreach, networking opportunities and more. The week culminates with a festive black-tie awards gala. As a destination festival in the center of the South, the JXN FILM FESTIVAL™ draws local, regional, national, and international participation.

As one of the primary initiaves of SOARPRENEUR, the goals for the 2024 edition of the JXN FILM FESTIVAL™ align with its mission to empower and equip the next generation of content creators, artists and entrepreneurs to fulfill their artistic and entrepreneurial aspirations. These goals are listed below.

• Identify high school seniors and HBCU students for 2024 mentorship in preparation for Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program’s (EICOP) HBCU in LA|NYC|ATL summer internship program for the 2025 cohort.
• Obtain professional representation for Mississippi artists with the United Talent Agency (UTA).
• Increase exposure of filmmaker projects to network and industry executives.
• Expand the reach of the festival to more rural and small towns in Mississippi.
• Identify sustainable funding sources and recurring sponsors.
• Continue efforts to become an IMDb certified festival and an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences certified festival.
