Jam HOPE Foundation’s mission is to positively impact our community, by providing adaptive and supportive programs for youth and adults with disabilities. Through these opportunities to experience success, we are able to build self-confident, healthy, vibrant, and productive LIFE CHAMPIONS!
Jam HOPE provides recreational, social, and physical fitness classes and events in a facility that hosts recreational and competitive gymnastics, dance, and ninja classes, as well as a youth theatre program and academic preschool. We work to make sure that community members with disabilities are included in the opportunities of this major recreational center in our area. We have been able to provide adapted equipment, specialized instruction to fit multiple abilities, additional instructor to participant support, ASL interpreters for families with hearing impairments, and adapted and supported classes in gymnastics, dance, and ninja for youth with cognitive and physical impairments. We also provide affordable and inclusive opportunities for local special education programs and adult day programs for field trips and community outings.
Our Jam HOPE Café opened in March as a work-experience opportunity for teens and adults with disabilities. The café serves our 1500+ families that attend classes and events at our host site on a weekly basis. The Café helps fill a major need for vocational opportunities for teens and adults with disabilities, and serves as a hub of inclusivity for our families, and employees!
