The Junior League of Alexandria is a women’s leadership organization that believes in rolling up our sleeves, stepping into the needs of our community, and creating real, lasting change. For more than 80 years, we’ve been here—training women to lead, partnering with local organizations, and responding to the needs of children and families in Central Louisiana.

We are teachers, business owners, moms, volunteers, students, and leaders.
We believe every woman has the power to shape her community for the better.

Providing diapers to families facing diaper need—because no parent should have to choose between diapers, food, or utilities.

• Care Closets in Local Schools
Offering essentials like hygiene supplies, socks, and snacks—so students can feel confident, cared for, and ready to learn.

• Inspiration Village at Girls on the Run
Creating a joyful, encouraging space where girls are celebrated for their strength, confidence, and determination.

• Every Woman. All Things. (Premiering Spring 2025)
A new women’s leadership and well-being event focused on empowering, equipping, and inspiring women to thrive in every season of life.

• Scholarships for Seniors & Teacher Mini-Grants
Investing in both the future of our students and the educators who guide them—helping remove barriers and support excellence in our local schools.

• Training and Leadership Development for Women
Equipping women with the tools, skills, and confidence to lead in boardrooms, classrooms, nonprofits, neighborhoods, and beyond.

• Community Programs and Volunteer Support
Hands-on service throughout the year with partner organizations building a healthier, more resilient Cenla.
