We are the only preschool cooperative in West Sacramento. Since 1954, our school has been a community project: Our families work in the classroom, organize our field trips, clean our easels and get muddy in our outdoor kitchen. Our director, Erin Hinton, has taught at JMPNS since 2008 and is the heart of our school.

We're dreaming big about what a co-op preschool can be. Here's what we've been up to in 2023:

We adopted a tiered tuition model to increase accessibility for families at all income levels
We increased our teachers' compensation to an equitable wage
We've launched an oral history project honoring our 70-year history
We received a grant to diversify our classroom library
We foster a play-based environment that sparks curiosity, delight and imagination every day!
