Dear Friends and Family, Near and Far,

When I founded Womb in 2020, I envisioned creating a surrealist sanctuary—a space where dreamers could truly feel at home, where the impossible could be made real through art and creativity. Over the years, I’ve had the immense privilege of nurturing a thriving community of heart-centered artists from all disciplines. Womb has become a gathering place for unique experiences, but most importantly, it has become a space of warmth, connection, and
growth.

Yet beyond the sanctuary of Womb, there is a world that doesn’t always embrace artists like us—a world that can often feel disconnected from the transformative power of creativity. For some time now, I’ve been seeking a way to bring the gifts of Womb beyond its walls and into the heart of the surrounding neighborhood. I believe that art has the power to speak a universal language, and there is no better way to share this language than through murals—art that is accessible to all and has the ability to transform public spaces into places of beauty, healing, and connection.

San Simón Ticumac, a family-oriented neighborhood, has yet to experience the vibrancy of an active art scene as seen in other parts of Mexico City. But art has the power to heal, beautify, and catalyze lasting change. It fosters connections, reduces violence, and uplifts the collective spirit. True transformation starts on the streets, in our homes, and within the hearts of the community. With your support, we can continue to nurture our mission of providing a space where artists of all backgrounds can thrive and collaborate with the local community. Through this muralism festival and larger mural project, we are creating opportunities for everyone, whether artist or admirer, to engage, grow, and contribute to a collective effort to beautify and enrich our neighborhood. Our goal is to empower the creative spirit in each of us, to inspire collaboration and connection, and to create a community that is
not only visually stunning but rich in culture, inclusion, and belonging.

That’s why we invite you to be part of something truly transformative. After years of dreaming, planning, and collaborating with my close friend, muralist Dan Silva, we are finally bringing our vision to life. In 2022, Dan painted the mural that now graces the front of Womb, and together, we began imagining something larger—a muralism festival that would bring both local and international artists to our neighborhood, leaving an artistic legacy in San Simón Ticumac.

This October 2025, after three years of dedication, we are launching the inaugural Muralism Festival, a two-week celebration of creativity, unity, and culture. The festival will feature 14 vibrant murals, created through collaboration between artists and residents alike. These murals will do more than beautify our streets—they will engage our community, inspire dialogue, and forge deeper connections among neighbors. They will leave behind a lasting mark of shared vision, purpose, and artistic pride.

While we have received seed funding from the International Community Foundation, we still need your help to ensure this dream becomes a reality. We are seeking an additional $12,000to cover the costs of materials, artist fees, and community engagement activities. Every contribution—whether big or small—will directly support the creation of this transformative event.

Whether you join us in person at the Mexico City gala on the 26th or participate virtually through our online campaign, your support will be invaluable. Our online campaign features a special catalogue of artwork (click here to download) created by myself and other talented artists in our community. All proceeds will go directly toward the festival. For those wishing to contribute at a higher level, we offer the unique opportunity to adopt a wall—your name will be displayed as a cherished contributor next to one of the murals, leaving a permanent legacy in the community we
