Support Us in Empowering Communities!

Rohi’s Listening Station will meet the community where they’re at with mobile services like culturally responsive play therapy, social-emotional learning programs, and healing supports for our youth and their families. Your donations go directly towards bus repairs and renovations, as well as books, supplies and programming focused on identity-driven literacy and social-emotional learning.

Following its initial completion, the Therapy Bus Listening Station will remain an active, mobile resource for the Historic Northwest community. Our organization plans to sustain the project by:

Ongoing Programming: Integrating the bus into our year-round schedule of trauma-informed play therapy, social-emotional learning (SEL), and literacy programming for children and families.
Maintenance & Upkeep: Establishing a routine maintenance schedule and allocating resources for repairs, furnishings, and program supplies, ensuring the bus remains safe and functional.
Community Engagement: Continuing to solicit input from youth, families, and caregivers to adapt programming to their evolving needs and interests.
Funding & Partnerships: Leveraging donor support, grants, and community partnerships to fund ongoing operations and expand the bus’s reach.

This project aligns with our organization’s overall growth by expanding our capacity to meet the community where they are—removing barriers to mental health support and culturally responsive education. The bus strengthens our commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces for healing and learning, ensuring children, families, and caregivers receive consistent, accessible, and identity-affirming support.

With your support, we can expand this vital program, ensuring it reaches even more underserved areas. Your contributions will help us provide educational materials, books, enhance accessibility, and create safe, inclusive spaces for learning and growth.

Partner with us today to help build a future rooted in literacy, leadership, and social justice.

WHO WE ARE:

"We read something We learn something We share it with the world!"

Founded in 2021, Rohi’s Readery is an award winning social justice driven children's bookstore and learning center dedicated to critical literacy that promotes inclusivity and diversity by honoring historically marginalized communities.

Driven by a commitment to amplify the voices of historically marginalized communities, including Black, Indigenous, Arab, Asian, Pacific Islander, Latine, LGBTQIA+, and the disability and neurodiverse communities, the Readery strives to create a space where individuals can find liberation in their identity while learning about the diverse stories of others.

The initiative started by offering small, community-based literacy programs and has since grown into a recognized leader in critical literacy education, thus the founding of Rohi's Liberation Station 501c3.

Rohi’s Liberation Station 501c3, a non-profit initiative by Rohi's Readery, honors historically marginalized communities through a multigenerational literacy learning approach.
