Jeri's eye surgery is coming up soon. Please help!

Jeri's journey began when someone contacted TCFoK about a "blind" cat living at an apartment complex. We went to investigate and discovered she'd given birth to kittens, so it was time for her to be spayed. While doing additional outreach around the apartment complex, we learned her primary caregiver was moving, which meant Jeri would have no support if she were simply TNR'd.

Jeri went to Dr. Baranik to be fully vetted (spayed, vaccinated, and combo tested negative/negative) and have her eyes examined. Turns out she has eyelid agenesis, a painful birth defect where a portion of the eyelid margin is either missing or underdeveloped.

Dr. Baranik referred her to a veterinary ophthalmologist for specialized care.

Jeri is scheduled to undergo cryosurgery to remove hair follicles that are rubbing on the cornea on October 14th at the Atlanta Veterinary Eye Clinic. This procedure is crucial to prevent further corneal damage and eliminate her current pain, giving her a comfortable life.

The total estimated cost for her essential cryosurgery, including medication and boarding, is approximately $2,500.
